PacketZoom's Mobile Game Index benchmarks the performance of popular mobile games that include large file downloads before the game starts playing. The index measures: time to play, the total content size and download speed in seconds. Games that are ranked higher exhibited a faster content download speed and are most likely utilizing advanced mobile acceleration technologies.

Time-to-Play of Leading Mobile Games
Test Methodology:
PacketZoom downloaded the iOS version of each app and installed it on a real iOS device. We downloaded the main screen and recorded all network requests and responses.
These recorded URLs including the way they were requested ( parallel/non-parallel) were then requested from thousands of real iOS devices twice over a WiFi connection:
- Using standard HTTP/TCP and
- Using PacketZoom Mobile Expresslane
